Krystle Warren headlining new solo tour
plus dates with Rufus Wainwright.
November 3rd to November 24th.
“… Krystle Warren, who I think is probably one of the greatest living singers at the moment – I’m very brave to have her in my show because she’s formidable.”
Rufus Wainwright
When Krystle Warren sings, a spellbound hush falls over the audience – suddenly and acutely aware that they are in the presence of a rare talent, and like the observers of some fleeting natural phenomenon, they pay the utmost attention, hanging on every phrase, every word.
Krystle Warren is a singer-songwriter from Kansas City, Missouri, currently touring the world with Rufus Wainwright*, blessed not only with a voice that slides effortlessly from smoky depths to gilded heights, but also the ability to craft intoxicating songs of love and its loss, and to convey them to an audience with warmth and wit.
On her last solo UK dates she was backed by Bluegrass virtuosi, The Wagon Tales review <http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/may/23/krystle-warren-review> but the November jaunt will feature her voice and guitar unadorned – and with a vocal approach that has been likened to those of Nina Simone and Jeff Buckley – not comparisons to be made lightly – that is an excellent thing.
Krystle writes honest love songs with a gleam in her eye and wry aside thrown in for good measure. An incredible talent like this is not to be missed.
