El Swing in July welcomes back Tropic Peru (special thanks to fellow Peruvians Grupo Pisco Sour who starred at June’s El Swing). Tropic Peru formed in 2018 and are led by Alejandro Reyes, on percussion, who arrived in London in the 90’s and got into salsa dancing, singing and Afro-Cuban percussion.  Tropic Peru plays tropical music, including Cuban Son, Afro-Peruvian, Bachata and Cumbia in a Peruvian style at Salsa clubs and festivals around town. Also, a big welcome back to my old friend DJ Johnny G who will be behind the decks and throwing down 100% Salsa Caliente after his recent health issues. Come and welcome him back with a big hola!

Tropic Peru – El Swing – May ’24

Our Colombian Salsa teacher, Yamile, gets the hips moving with her all-comers Salsa Dance Class from 7.30, followed by the club night.
