I only managed to squeeze in a few seconds of Represent at the end of my November show so I thought I would give it a full play on this one. The release of a new album from The Unthanks is always a major event in my book. Other new albums came from Soothsayers and Grupo Lokito, alongside excellent reissues such as Joyce’s Natureza, Melcochita y Karamanduka et al
A bunch of new/reissued Acid Jazz releases were all very welcome; Granville Williams, Terry Callier and Jacob Miller took care of the Christmas festivities.
As you have probably heard Totally Wired Radio comes off air on 31/12/22. My first TWR show went out on 9/1/20 and this show – it turns out – was my last.
