This show should have gone out live 2 weeks previously but due to transport problems I couldn’t make it into the studio so everything is a bit out of whack. NB Simon Booth aka Simon Emmerson (pictured) who was best known for his role in the bands: Weekend, Working Week, Afro Celt Sound System and Imagined Village with Billy Bragg, Martin Carthy, Eliza Carthy, Sheila Chandra, Chris Wood and The Young Coppers, Johnny Kalsi and Andy Gangadeen. As well as producing the likes of Baaba Maal and Manu Dibango.
Simon died in March this year and an event will be happening at the Roundhouse on 15/12 featuring Billy Bragg, Martin & Eliza Carthy, Snowboy, MC Gilles Peterson, The Copper Family, DJ Chris Tofu in aid of Weldmar Hospice.
