Mambista – Brockwell Park – Sunday August 14 – Michael ‘Bammi’ Rose live

Sunday August 14

Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses
Brockwell Park,
SE24 0PA

live Jazz, Reggae & Ska with
Michael ‘Bammi’ Rose

+ DJ Gerry Lyseight

18.30 – 22.30

Another evening of superb music guaranteed by Michael ‘Bammi’ Rose – in this case jazz, reggae and ska. Bammi has the bona fides having played with Jazz Jamaica, Aswad, Jazz Warriors, Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Cymande, the Graceland Tour with Paul Simon, Hugh Masekela, Miriam Makeba et al.

The all-star band have CVs which include The Specials, Jazz Jamaica, PJ Harvey, Errol Linton, Jazz Warriors and Carrol Thompson.

No jestering with this crew, they know their business!

A quick thank you to Alvorada for July’s Mambista in the Park. I used the word “magical” to describe their last visit in 2021 so “an evening in paradise” and “soooo fun and uplifting” will have to do for this one. Make sure to check them out at

Come rain or shine ……as we can take shelter in the Greenhouse and under marquees if the weather is unkind to us.

Delicious hot food will be available from 7 – 9.15pm.
You can book your meal preference with your tickets:

  • Sweet Potato & Peanut Curry with Rice (Vegetarian/Vegan)
  • Chicken Madras with Rice
