The last 10 years at The Portico (Gallery) have been dedicated to dancing to the best in live and recorded music from around the world, and bringing people together.
The live bands brought music from Ethiopia, Colombia, Nigeria, Jamaica, The Balkans, Cuba, Brasil and Brixton playing Jazz, Rumba, Reggae, Gnawa, Latin Jazz, Ska, Salsa, Soukous, Dub, Funk, Samba, Choro, Afrobeat, Blues, Highlife …. all the good stuff.
The live band at Mambista’s New Year’s Eve Wing Ding always bring maximum joy and good vibes a go-go. Congo meets Cuba in the shape of the ever upfull Grupo Lokito, so prepare to get down!
