Kicking off with Resavoir’s take on Love Theme From Spartacus slightly veering away from Yusef Lateef’s classic version, and ending with Mama Terra’s take on Herbie Hancock’s Chameleon. In between is a collection of excellent new releases from Nubuyan Twist, Lophae, Zack Adleman, bassist Misha Mullov-Abbado’s tribute to the legendary and venerable old school live music pub – the Effra -which is based in Misha’s Brixton neighbourhood. Recent Grammy Award winning Cuban pianist (in the Latin Jazz section) Zaccai Curtis, re-released John Lamkin, and first time release for the newly discovered ’78 live album from Sun Ra.
