Wil Sifontes and his Latin Sound Quintet return to rock The Portico for the first time since 2022’s El Swing Christmas Party, although every night is party night at El Swing and always attracts a friendly and welcoming crowd of dancers and Salsa lovers. 

Wilmer Sifontes, originally from Caracas, Venezuela, is one of London’s most accomplished, outstanding and prolific percussionists.He has backed up many of Salsa’s biggest stars (Henry Fiol, Adalberto Santiago, Tito Gomes) and played some of the most prestigious festivals (Glastonbury, North Sea, Womad) as well as leading his Conjunto Sabroso. Another great El Swing night is guaranteed.

Our wonderful dance teacher, Yamile, runs the dance class as well as ruling the ensuing dance floor with her energetic encouragement.

The DJs (on rotation): Johnny G, Carey Lyseight and Gerry Lyseight have hosted some of London’s most legendary club nights: Salsa Fusión, Latin Swing at Wessex House, Mambo Inn.
