Simo Lagnawi aka the Ambassador of Gnawa Culture in the UK & charismatic creator, leader of Gnawa Blues All Stars.
Simo and Gnawa Blues All Stars play traditional Gnawa (sacred trance music from Morocco) incorporating elements of blues, jazz, reggae & afrobeat with infectious, irresistible energy.
Simo has been featured on BBC World service, BBC Proms, CNN World, BBC Radio 3, Vox Africa as well as many festivals including Glastonbury, Womad, Secret Garden Party, Latitude, Boom Town et al, plus many international shows throughout Europe, North Africa and the US.
Gnawa Blues All Stars continuously pushes new boundaries fusing Gnawa with music from countries such as Gambia, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Guinea, Mali, India, Japan, Venezuela and the Caribbean.
